The Board of the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia Ltd (OTC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Anne Szadura as the OTC’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Anne joined the OTC in August 2023 as the Accreditation Manager and has been acting CEO since 1 January 2025. She brings with her a wealth of prior experience to the role with strengths in communication, relationship building, strategic and operational leadership, governance, and empowering and developing strong teams.

In taking on the role of CEO, Anne is deeply committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment, where all employees and communities feel seen, heard and valued, and where there is collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations to ensure that cultural safety principles are embedded within the OTC’s governance processes and practice.

Prior to joining the OTC, Anne was the Manager, Accreditation for the Australian Dental Council (ADC). As the Chair of the ADC’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Champions Group she achieved awareness and commitment to Reconciliation amongst staff and significantly progressed implementation of the Innovate RAP.

Earlier Anne has held senior roles in the tertiary sector for almost two decades, with expertise in quality assurance, policy development, educational research and project management.

Anne shared her thoughts on her new appointment: “It is an honour to lead the OTC at such a pivotal time.  I am excited to work with the OTC directors, committee members and OTC team to build on the strong foundations established by my predecessor Mr Kim Bradbury, accelerate the OTC’s strategic vision, explore and embrace innovation and lead the OTC into its next chapter. My focus will be on driving excellence while we continue to strengthen our cultural governance and cultural capability in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.”
